Privacy and the DPDP Act

Account and order data: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and GSTIN where you buy as a business. We need these to raise a valid tax invoice and to deliver a dangerous-goods consignment.

Uploaded electricity bills: these carry your name, your address and twelve months of consumption. We process them only to size a system and to compute your savings. They are encrypted at rest, stored under a random key, referenced by an opaque id, and deleted at the end of the retention period below.

Telemetry: for a registered pack we store state of charge, voltage, current, cell temperature, cycle count and state of health, against the gateway id. This is what My Batteries shows and what an AMC claim is settled on.

We ask for consent at the point of collection, record the timestamp, and use the data only for the purpose stated at that point. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your bill or telemetry data to build a profile for advertising.

Uploaded bills are deleted 180 days after the sizing they support, or immediately on request, whichever is sooner. Invoices and order records are kept for 8 years because tax law requires it. Telemetry is kept for the life of the asset plus the warranty period, because a warranty claim depends on it.

Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion by writing to dpo@urjapod.com. We respond within 30 days. Where we must keep something — a tax invoice, for instance — we say so and say why.
